{"id":998,"date":"2010-04-16T17:14:48","date_gmt":"2010-04-16T17:14:48","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2017-12-04T16:37:07","modified_gmt":"2017-12-04T16:37:07","slug":"heater-box-firewall-recess-fue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/2010\/04\/16\/heater-box-firewall-recess-fue\/","title":{"rendered":"Heater Box, Firewall Recess, Fuel Vents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I drilled the mounting holes in the firewall for the heater box. \u00a0Here I just have a couple of AN3-4A bolts temporarily holding it on. \u00a0I have some AN3C-4A bolts on order for the permanent attachment.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20100416\/CIMG1402.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CIMG1402.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center>I prepped the firewall recess for riveting by deburring the rest of the edges, dimpling all around, and riveting the sides. \u00a0I dimpled these holes as well so the recess will be flush on the inside.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20100416\/CIMG1403.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CIMG1403.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center>I started fabricating one of the fuel vent fittings by taking an AN832-4D bulkhead fitting and sanding off the threads on the short end and cutting a 45\u00ba bevel in the end \u00a0I&#8217;ll proseal a small stainless steel vent over the end to keep bugs out.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20100416\/CIMG1404.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CIMG1404.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I drilled the mounting holes in the firewall for the heater box. \u00a0Here I just have a couple of AN3-4A bolts temporarily holding it on. \u00a0I have some AN3C-4A bolts on order for the permanent attachment.
