{"id":977,"date":"2010-05-13T17:11:21","date_gmt":"2010-05-13T17:11:21","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2017-12-17T06:52:50","modified_gmt":"2017-12-17T06:52:50","slug":"work-on-seats-engine-accessori","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/2010\/05\/13\/work-on-seats-engine-accessori\/","title":{"rendered":"Work on Seats, Engine Accessories"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I drilled the upper seat back adjustment to the right seat back.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20100513\/CIMG1549.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CIMG1549.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Here is the seat installed temporarily. \u00a0I still need to drill out everything to #30, but all of the fabrication is done.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20100513\/CIMG1550.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CIMG1550.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Here is the upper seat back adjustment showing how the flange fits into the notches on the cross member. \u00a0Afterward, I knocked out all of the left seat except for the upper adjustment mechanism.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20100513\/CIMG1551.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CIMG1551.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>I found out that the new prop governor cable mounting bracket doesn&#8217;t attach to these mounting bolts, so I torqued these down and lacquer sealed them.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20100513\/CIMG1552.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CIMG1552.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>I also swapped the oil pressure fitting and the plug so that I have more clearance from the engine mount. \u00a0This required removing the upper hold down clip from the right mag cover plate so that I could get a wrench on this fitting.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20100513\/CIMG1553.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CIMG1553.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>I also installed the fuel overflow fitting. \u00a0A rubber tube will be installed here to route any fuel overflow away from the hot exhaust.<\/p>\n<p><b>Update:<\/b>\u00a0This is the sniffle valve and shouldn&#8217;t be installed here. \u00a0I searched all over the engine and couldn&#8217;t find any other fittings that this could screw in to, but the engine was mounted on the palette at the time and I couldn&#8217;t see where this should actually mount. \u00a0See <a href=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/2011\/05\/12\/installed-sniffle-valve-oil-dr\/\">this entry<\/a> for where this should actually be mounted.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20100513\/CIMG1554.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CIMG1554.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I drilled the upper seat back adjustment to the right seat back.
