{"id":914,"date":"2010-08-18T17:11:20","date_gmt":"2010-08-18T17:11:20","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2017-12-05T07:50:47","modified_gmt":"2017-12-05T07:50:47","slug":"finished-forward-canopy-frame","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/2010\/08\/18\/finished-forward-canopy-frame\/","title":{"rendered":"Finished Forward Canopy Frame"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I finished the fit of the forward canopy frame to the forward skin.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20100818\/IMG_8813.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_8813.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>I ended up with about 0.032&#8243; along the entire joint. \u00a0I did end up having to put a 0.016&#8243; spacer under the forward channel of the canopy frame to lift the skin up a little bit. \u00a0Otherwise, the front edge of the canopy frame skin was pushed up by the subpanel a bit and the front edge of the canopy skin would catch on the aft edge of the forward skin when I tried to raise the canopy. \u00a0You can also see here that I installed a bunch of clecos from the inside to give me a little more room to open the frame. \u00a0These still stick up too much to allow the frame to open fully though.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20100818\/IMG_8814.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_8814.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>This is about all I can raise the canopy before it interferes with the clecos, but it&#8217;s enough to ensure everything moves smoothly. \u00a0Beyond this point, there would not be any interference anyway.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20100818\/IMG_8815.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_8815.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I finished the fit of the forward canopy frame to the forward skin.
