{"id":809,"date":"2011-04-26T17:07:56","date_gmt":"2011-04-26T17:07:56","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2017-12-08T06:15:03","modified_gmt":"2017-12-08T06:15:03","slug":"installed-princeton-capacitive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/2011\/04\/26\/installed-princeton-capacitive\/","title":{"rendered":"Installed Princeton Capacitive Fuel Senders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I received my capacitive fuel senders from Princeton Electronics. \u00a0They don&#8217;t have a website, but you can reach them at\u00a0(616) 243-8800. \u00a0They have both 2 level and 5 level senders. \u00a0Both convert the capacitance range from 0-5 volts, but the 2S model only has calibration points for empty and full. \u00a0The 5S model has three intermediate points which is important if you want a linear movement on an analog gauge. \u00a0Since I&#8217;m using the SkyView which has numerous intermediate calibration points, it doesn&#8217;t matter if the sender is linear or not, so I&#8217;m just using the 2S sender. \u00a0I cut most of the wires off and installed some four position molex connectors on each sender so that they can be easily removed if necessary (well, except for the cable with the BNC connector).<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20110426\/IMG_9421.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_9421.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>I installed the senders on the aft side of the subpanel since they need to be accessed during calibration. \u00a0This is the left sender.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20110426\/IMG_9422.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_9422.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>The right one is in the same relative position.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20110426\/IMG_9423.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_9423.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>The cable to the fuel tank will get routed down the vent line, but I&#8217;m leaving it loose for now until I nail down the overall routing.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20110426\/IMG_9424.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_9424.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>I drilled 1\/4&#8243;
