{"id":788,"date":"2011-05-29T17:07:55","date_gmt":"2011-05-29T17:07:55","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2017-12-08T06:47:31","modified_gmt":"2017-12-08T06:47:31","slug":"installed-manifold-pressure-re","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/2011\/05\/29\/installed-manifold-pressure-re\/","title":{"rendered":"Installed Manifold Pressure Restrictor and Aileron Trim Cable"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of my old college buddies <a href=\"http:\/\/gieselman.com\/\">Matt<\/a> was in town this weekend to visit. \u00a0I was hoping we&#8217;d have more time to work on the plane, but at least we had a little.<\/p>\n<p>I received this brass restrictor fitting from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wicksaircraft.com\/\">Wick&#8217;s Aircraft<\/a> today. \u00a0It has a 0.040 hole drilled in the middle to dampen out the pressure changes so that the manifold pressure sensor reading doesn&#8217;t fluctuate wildly. \u00a0Wick&#8217;s has a $15 minimum order, so I had to pay an extra $5 fee since this is all I ordered. \u00a0I was going to add a couple of other parts onto the order that I need so that I didn&#8217;t need to pay the fee, but their prices are substantially higher. \u00a0Companies with minimum order sizes piss me off anyway, so this will be the last time ordering from Wick&#8217;s if I can help it.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20110529\/IMG_9520.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_9520.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>I also got an order from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aircraftspruce.com\/\">Aircraft Spruce<\/a> with some more <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rayallencompany.com\/\">Ray Allen<\/a> servo cable for the aileron trim. \u00a0Matt helped install the connectors on the ends and I wired it to the VP-X alongside the pitch trim cable.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20110529\/IMG_9521.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_9521.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Under the seats, I installed a 5 position molex connector to attach the cable to the aileron trim servo.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20110529\/IMG_9523.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_9523.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of my old college buddies Matt was in town this weekend to visit. \u00a0I was hoping we&#8217;d have more time to work on the plane, but at least we had a little.
