I got started this morning by adjusting all of the aileron pushrods so that both ailerons are aligned with the flaps when the sticks are perfectly vertical and I had the same number of threads showing on each end of the pushrods. \u00a0I then torqued all of the jam nuts down and applied torque seal.<\/p>\n

Next, I figured out what will work for the aileron stops. \u00a0These are 1\/2″ long, 5\/8″ diameter spacers with a 3\/16″ hole in the middle. \u00a0I probably need to shorten them slightly to allow me to insert the appropriate washers to give the bearing some play.<\/p>\n

This gives me 30.2\u00ba upward deflection (25\u00ba-32\u00ba is the recommended range).<\/p>\n

And 16.5\u00ba downward deflection (15\u00ba-17\u00ba recommended range).<\/p>\n

My brother and I pulled the wings off and got them covered and the plane back in the garage just as the rain started. \u00a0I wasn’t able to fabricate the fuel lines, but those can happen after the wings are installed for good.<\/p>\n
