{"id":583,"date":"2012-07-06T16:57:33","date_gmt":"2012-07-06T16:57:33","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2017-12-12T06:16:39","modified_gmt":"2017-12-12T06:16:39","slug":"finished-instrument-panel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/2012\/07\/06\/finished-instrument-panel\/","title":{"rendered":"Finished Instrument Panel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I installed the SkyView screens and radio stack and fired up the panel to make sure everything was working properly.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20120706\/IMG_0422.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_0422.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Next, I installed the control cables in the bracket and attached that to the bottom of the instrument panel.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20120706\/IMG_0423.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_0423.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t get a shot of this last night, but here&#8217;s the back of the Gemini PFD. \u00a0I still need to install a DB-9 connector shell, but this shot shows the pitot and static connections. \u00a0The green tubing is the pitot and the white tubing is the static. \u00a0This has to tee to go up to the alt static switch.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20120706\/IMG_0424.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_0424.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the alt static switch. \u00a0This opens the static tubing up to cabin pressure.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20120706\/IMG_0425.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_0425.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>To wrap up the panel, I put switch boots on most of the switches. \u00a0All of these are marked red because switching any of them in flight could be critical.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20120706\/IMG_0427.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_0427.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>All light switches are blue. \u00a0Here are the exterior lights.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20120706\/IMG_0428.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_0428.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>The interior lights both have dimmers. \u00a0Here are the controls for the cabin lights which are mounted in the roll bar support.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20120706\/IMG_0429.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_0429.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Here are the glare shield lights.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20120706\/IMG_0430.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_0430.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>The fuel pump and flaps have yellow boots because operating them should be done with caution.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20120706\/IMG_0431.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_0431.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Here are the completed seat heater controls. \u00a0The cabin heat control is just to the right.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20120706\/IMG_0432.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_0432.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I installed the SkyView screens and radio stack and fired up the panel to make sure everything was working properly.
