I started wrapping up the control cable installation tonight. \u00a0First up is the cable supports on the subpanel. \u00a0Attaching these stiffened up the control bracket quite a bit, but there’s still a bit of flex. \u00a0I may add a stiffener between the control bracket and the subpanel.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/center>This is the forward end of the control cable. \u00a0I replaced the undrilled bolt with all metal lock nut that is specified in the plans with a drilled bolt, castellated nut,\u00a0and cotter pin. \u00a0I’m doing that on all bolts used in the engine control cables.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/center>Here’s the forward end of the throttle cable. \u00a0All adjustment nuts have been torqued and sealed.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/center>Here’s the firewall penetration for the throttle cable. \u00a0This is installed for good.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/center>Here’s the finished attach end of the mixture control cable. \u00a0All linkages have been adjusted and cotter-pinned.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/center>I had to adjust the bracket attach on the control cable to the far forward end of the threads.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/center>The mixture cable firewall penetration on the left is done. \u00a0The prop governor penetration on the right is still loose until I get everything adjusted.<\/p>\n
