{"id":317,"date":"2014-04-19T16:50:38","date_gmt":"2014-04-19T16:50:38","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2017-12-14T05:24:08","modified_gmt":"2017-12-14T05:24:08","slug":"trimmed-wheel-pant-mounting-sh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/2014\/04\/19\/trimmed-wheel-pant-mounting-sh\/","title":{"rendered":"Trimmed Wheel Pant Mounting Shims"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I popped the wheel pants off the plane, and all of the mounting shims turned out great. \u00a0There was plenty of squeeze out to ensure that the shims went to the edge of the mounting flanges.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20140419\/IMG_1401.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_1401.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>I used my fiberglass cutoff wheel to remove the excess epoxy\/flox and fair it into the surrounding glass. \u00a0I don&#8217;t care if this is perfectly smooth since it&#8217;s on the inside of the wheel pant. \u00a0I mainly just want to remove the sharp edges so I don&#8217;t cut myself when handling these in the future. \u00a0A lot of dirt and muck will get slung up into the wheel pants over time, so I want to make this reasonably easy to clean if necessary. \u00a0Finally, I reinstalled the wheel pants in preparation for final alignment.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20140419\/IMG_1402.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_1402.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I popped the wheel pants off the plane, and all of the mounting shims turned out great. \u00a0There was plenty of squeeze out to ensure that the shims went to the edge of the mounting flanges.
