{"id":299,"date":"2014-06-08T16:50:38","date_gmt":"2014-06-08T16:50:38","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2017-12-14T05:48:50","modified_gmt":"2017-12-14T05:48:50","slug":"more-work-on-wheel-pants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/2014\/06\/08\/more-work-on-wheel-pants\/","title":{"rendered":"More Work on Wheel Pants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I had another chunk of time today at the airport, so I decided to make a little more progress on the wheel pants. \u00a0I first drilled and mounted all of the nutplates on the mounting flanges. \u00a0These are stainless, so drilling them is a pain.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20140608\/IMG_2698.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_2698.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>I also added 7 nutplates around the flange where the forward and aft halves of the left wheel pant join. \u00a0I also iterated a bit on the opening around the tire. \u00a0I now have 5\/8&#8243; of clearance all the way around with the weight on the tire.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20140608\/IMG_2699.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_2699.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>With the pant attached to the mounting flanges, the left wheel pant is ready for flight. \u00a0I still have 2-3 hours of work to get the right pant to this stage, but then I&#8217;ll be ready for flight with these.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20140608\/IMG_2700.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_2700.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I had another chunk of time today at the airport, so I decided to make a little more progress on the wheel pants. \u00a0I first drilled and mounted all of the nutplates on the mounting flanges. \u00a0These are stainless, so drilling them is a pain.
