{"id":1243,"date":"2009-05-19T17:21:36","date_gmt":"2009-05-19T17:21:36","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2017-12-14T22:01:02","modified_gmt":"2017-12-14T22:01:02","slug":"fit-top-wing-skins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/2009\/05\/19\/fit-top-wing-skins\/","title":{"rendered":"Fit Top Wing Skins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The weight of the wing causes the middle to sag a bit, so I put a support near the middle of the rib. \u00a0This is basically just a piece of steel tubing and some allthread with a washer and nut. \u00a0I put a couple of plastic feet on each end to prevent scratching the spar and to prevent it from slipping on the floor.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20090519\/CIMG0300.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CIMG0300.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><br \/>\nI stretched a piece of fishing line across the lower set of holes in the spar and adjusted the support until the fishing line ran through the center of all of them.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20090519\/CIMG0299.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CIMG0299.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><br \/>\nThe wing walk doublers have to be cut from a larger piece of aluminum sheet.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20090519\/CIMG0301.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CIMG0301.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><br \/>\nThen positioned under the top wing skin for match drilling.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20090519\/CIMG0302.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CIMG0302.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><br \/>\nHere are both doublers match drilled to the top skins.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20090519\/CIMG0303.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CIMG0303.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><br \/>\nIt&#8217;s late, but I just had to see what these looked like clecoed to the skeletons. \u00a0I&#8217;m really glad I ordered some extra 3\/32&#8243;
