I installed the outboard leading edges and the tanks to evaluate the joint between the two. \u00a0First the good news: the gap between the two is virtually nonexistent and the leading edges align perfectly.<\/p>\n

\nNow the bad news. \u00a0Like many people have encountered, the flushness of the two skins is rather poor. \u00a0I need to probably shim the outboard skins out a bit to bring them flush with the tanks. \u00a0The worst is about 0.042″, but there are several places that are over 0.020″.<\/p>\n
