{"id":1153,"date":"2009-10-12T17:18:13","date_gmt":"2009-10-12T17:18:13","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2017-12-03T07:32:33","modified_gmt":"2017-12-03T07:32:33","slug":"started-riveting-flaps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/2009\/10\/12\/started-riveting-flaps\/","title":{"rendered":"Started Riveting Flaps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I started tonight by riveting part of the flap brace to the spars (except for the holes that also attach the inboard ribs).<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20091012\/CIMG0641.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CIMG0641.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center>I riveted the remaining part of the flap brace to the inboard ribs. \u00a0The nutplates have to be riveted on with flush rivets\u00a0(AN426 on the top and NAS1097 on the bottom)\u00a0to clear the rod end on the flap pushrod.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20091012\/CIMG0642.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CIMG0642.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center>I also fabricated the spacers that are used to take up the extra space between the ears of the brackets (yes I know that the order of one of these is backward, but these have to come apart to bolt these brackets to the ailerons).<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/rv7pictures\/Originals\/20091012\/CIMG0643.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jasonbeaver.com\/rv7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CIMG0643.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I started tonight by riveting part of the flap brace to the spars (except for the holes that also attach the inboard ribs).
